The assets panel is used to make repeatable UI elements easier and faster to get onto a canvas. You can use the default iOS10 UI kit that ships with Affinity Designer 1.5 or create your very own Asset Categories to use inside your projects. With more than 650 total Affinity Designer assets, Graphic Beats is a massive bundle perfect for your personal library. There are strokes, bubbles, swooshes, and plenty more assets you'll find useful. The lighthearted and fun brush style can be used for posters, social media ads, and more. I manually opened each file in Affinity Designer, grouped the graphics, put in the name to the group, and added the graphics to the subcategory of the asset, corresponding to the folder where the original.svg is in. The renaming is necessary so that next time you drag the graphics out of the asset into your drawing, it is properly named. 10.5 Assets Panel. Working with assets

Assets are created from layer content. Once selected on the page, these contents can be added to a subcategory (in the displayed category) within the Assets panel. When a new assets category is created, this creates a subcategory for you, ready to drag objects to.

An asset can be quickly added to a document by simply dragging its thumbnail from the Assets panel onto the page.

Organizing assets

Categories can be created at any time to help you organize your assets. They are then listed in the pop-up menu at the top of the Assets panel. Each category can accommodate an unlimited number of subcategories.

Assets cannot exist directly in categories, they must reside in subcategories. This is why categories are always created with a default Assets subcategory.

Assets in the panel can be displayed as thumbnails in a grid (default) or as a named list. Tooltips display the name of an asset.

The Assets panel is hidden by default. It can be switched on via View>Studio when working in Photo Persona.
